Around twenty police staff are continuing their investigation this week into the killing of a Taita man.
Fifty-two year old Michael James Mulholland was found unconscious in a driveway near his home last Thursday evening.
He died at the scene.
Detective Inspector Darrin Thomson says a post mortem examination confirms Mr Mulholland was the victim of a homicide.
"The ESR have just finished the scene examination with us, and police will be at the two addresses in Farmer Crescent over the next two or three days."
He says at this stage police investigations are focused on speaking with those who had contact with Mr Mulholland the day he died.
Detective Inspector Thomson says police want to hear from anyone had who contact with Mr Mulholland last Thursday.
