Lower Hutt police are searching for a man who attacked a female jogger last night.
Police say the woman was grabbed from behind while running near the Moera rail overbridge, and was dragged a short distance before she managed to escape.
Detective Sergeant Anthony Tebbutt of Lower Hutt CIB believes the attack is linked to another which occurred on April 4 in the exact same location.
The offender is described as Maori or Polynesian, in his mid-20s with short dark hair, wearing a green and black checked long sleeved top.
Police would also like to speak with a young man who came to the woman's aid after the attack.
