My Food Bag is warning some of customers delivered baby spinach on Sunday or Monday to toss it out due to a food safety warning.
An email to clients said: "Erring on the side of caution, we ask you to discard the spinach. If you have already consumed it and feel unwell please contact your doctor."
The voluntary recall only affects customers in Wellington, Palmerston North, Hawkes Bay, Taranaki, Kapiti Coast, Nelson, Christchurch and Dunedin.
Auckland, Whangarei, Rotorua, Taupo, Bay of Plenty and Waikato customers are not affected.
The baby spinach was supplied to the food company and preliminary testing indicated listeria but conclusive results are due tomorrow, Fairfax reported.
My Food Bag will provide a $10 credit to customers affected.
