A rich-lister and a fellow businessman who own neighbouring properties on Auckland's North Shore are in a High Court fight over a gate on a right-of-way.
Multi-millionaire Cameron Thomas Gregory owns a $3.75 million property in Hauraki, close to the Auckland suburb of Takapuna.
Behind this property and down a driveway is an $8.65 million home owned by E K Trust, which is directed by former Advantage Group chairman Evan Christian.
Gregory, according to the High Court list, has taken action against E K Trust, making an application for orders enforcing or modifying a right of way easement.
One person familiar with the matter told the Herald that both sides were parties to a right of way and there was a fight over a gate.
Gregory is a former shareholder of glass supplier Metro GlassTech and is the listed owner of another North shore property with a CV of $16.5 million.
Advantage Group was once considered the sexiest thing on the New Zealand stock exchange and epitomised the hype surrounding the IT boom of the late 90s.
Its shares hit a high of $5.65 in 1999 but by 2002 they were only worth 33c.
