Northland Port Corp at Marsden Point handled two million tonnes of cargo in the year to June 30, up by 400,000 tonnes on the previous year, mainly from an increased volume of log exports.
This compares with 13.748 million tonnes at Port of Tauranga.
The company made a surplus of $3.134 million in the year to June 30, up from $2.693 million last year and is paying an unchanged final dividend of 3c a share.
