Two-year-old bulls made up a good percentage of the offering .

Plenty of outside interest meant prices were firm for all classes at yesterday's Stortford Lode store sale.

A big yarding of more than 1500 head sold well. A feature of the yarding was the more than 250 two-year bulls from Ngati Pahuwera, Putere. Two-year-old bulls made up a good percentage of the offering and they sold on a strong market.

The best of store lambs also sold well though the demand for smaller lambs was more subdued.

There were also plenty of ewes with lambs at foot and the better ones with older, docked, terminal lambs sold better than last week.

Buyers were from Hawke's Bay Taranaki, Manawatu, Gisborne, Ohakune, Taupo and Martinborough.
