Can New Zealand be predator free by 2050? The Government thinks so but New Zealand First has other ideas. Winston Peters talked to The Country's Jamie Mackay today to clarify their position.
Peters believes parts of New Zealand are too isolated for 100% predator eradication and thinks it is irresponsiblefor the Government to mislead people.
He also describes Conservation Minister Maggie Barry as a 'junior back bench member talking off the top of her head'.
