It was 50 years ago today...that The Beatles released Sgt. Pepper. It's also World Milk Day, Gypsy Day and Dom's twins' birthdays. Phew! Interviews are with: Peter and Nicola Carver, Jack Fagan, Doug Avery, Richard Hegan, Joe Wheeler, Elliot Dixon and Chris Russell.

It's the whole show in one go! Today The Country is brought to you by Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band which was released 50 years ago today. It's also World Milk Day, Gypsy Day and Dom's twins' birthdays. Phew!

On with the show: Peter and Nicola Carver: We catch up with the winners of the national ambassador title for the Ballance Farm Environment Awards:

Jack Fagan: We track down one of New Zealand's best young shearers in France as he discusses the lifestyle of life on the end of a handpiece in Europe.

Doug Avery: Is an inspirational Marlborough farmer who's on a crusade to enhance the mental health in the rural sector.

Richard Hegan: The GM of Rural for ASB takes a look at the possible threats of dairy debt and rising interest rates to an otherwise healthy primary sector economy.
