It was all about Brexit last week on The Country. It was hard to get away from the word, along with newly coined phrase 'Shexit'.

New Zealand's Agricultural Trade Envoy Mike Petersen, Labour's Primary Industry spokesman Damien O'Conner, and Rabobank's Animal Proteins Analyst Matt Costello all lend their expert opinions on the situation over in Britain.

Back home 'Shexit' is the term used for the supposed cold feet the Chinese were feeling over the Shanghai Maling deal with Silver Fern Farms. Was there any truth to the rumours?

Winston Peters definitely thinks so and he's not backwards in coming forwards about it!

It's not all Brexit related news at The Country . We also had a couple of award-winners chat to us last week.

Scottie Chapman is the Chief Executive on the Spring Sheep Milk Company. He is up for an award over in London at the World Dairy Innovation Awards which raises the question - is sheep milk the way of the future?

Who is Alice Mabin? She's an award-winning photographer who has a new book out about truck drivers called The Driver: Australia and New Zealand on the back of a truck.

She took time off from the road to catch up with The Country about her latest venture.
