Omarama Collie Dog Club president Ed Aubrey takes a break during the club's recent 102nd trials at his home, Dalrachney Station, in the Lindis Pass.
It was the first year the trials have been held at Dalrachney and the new grounds were declared a resounding success.
While no buildings have
been erected on the site yet, there was an array of borrowed tents, a marquee and even a kitchen sink.
A large contingent of locals were involved with setting up the event. The Aubrey family has been involved with the club since its inception and both Ed and his father Rick featured in this year's placings.
Rick won the long head with Toby, while Ed was fifth in the zigzag hunt with Rock.
