The good news for livestock vendors continued at yesterday's Stortford Lodge store sale.

Big yardings of more than 1000 cattle and 8000 sheep sold on a market that seems to get stronger every week. Buyers were from Hawke's Bay with some support from Feilding, Gisborne and Dunedin.

The quality of the store lambs was better than last week which was reflected in the prices as finishers look to meet winter contracts. Much of the yardings of cattle and sheep came from Wairoa and further north, boosting the numbers for the big bench of buyers.
