Fonterra's Head of Co-Operative Affairs in Taranaki, Scott Walls caught up with The Country Early Edition's Dom George today for an update on what's happening in his region.
The final payout for the season is coming up at the end of the month and Fonterra will also announce their openingforecast for the upcoming season.
This week's Global Dairy Trade Event is the fifth consecutive rise in dairy prices which Walls says is "fantastic".
He also pays tribute to the recent major winners at the New Zealand Dairy Industry Awards, all of which are Fonterra suppliers.
