Harvesting water for irrigation was an issue raised before the election but now that New Zealand is facing a looming drought, the question is will the Government will support future water storage schemes?

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern spoke to The Country's Jamie Mackay today, saying "we don't want to continue to subsidise large scale irrigation schemes." However, there are some commitments already made such as projects like Waimea which will continue.

Also in today's interview Jamie asks Jacinda about other Government initiatives such as "ready for work" (which some call "working for the dole"), and its tertiary education policy.
