Germans buy prime Southland farmland

German property interests are buying up more prime Southland farmland.

A German based investment company has just forked out 33 million dollars for a dairy farm at Dipton.

The Aquila Agra Invest Group has been granted approval by the Overseas Investment Commission approval to by the 1,400 hectare Glencairn partnership farm.

The German based group has already spent many millions of dollars buying up Southland pasture.
