The cast of Te Puke Repertory’s Footrot Flats - A Stage Musical.

The cast of Te Puke Repertory’s Footrot Flats - A Stage Musical.

Footrot Flats – A Stage Musical is well underway. Great peals of laughter, bleating, grunts, howling and shouts of “get in behind” can be heard during our weekly rehearsals as the cast of 17 bring Murray Ball’s original characters to life at the Litt Park Theatre.

Will townie Cheeky have her way with our country bloke Wal? Does Jess choose Dog? What is Cecil so worried about? Will Dolores ever catch Boris? Why are Pew and Cooch protesting? And what is that dreadful smell?

Two shows are already sold out and many others are approaching full capacity.

Also, we now have eftpos at the theatre bar.

Grab your mates and get yourselves tickets at www.eventspronto.co.nz/tprs so you can see for yourself.

Ever thought about directing a play? Te Puke Repertory is looking for keen thespians who could take on the creative challenge of leading a group of people through the joys and dramas of being in a play.

It is a big task, casting and directing a production, but we would like to help people achieve this. If you think you would like to discuss this further please email tepukerep01@gmail.com. We would love to hear from you. There are also opportunities to share your skills with set building, costuming, sound, lighting and volunteering with front-of-house duties.

Our last production, Killer Boobs, was resoundingly successful and all profits from the charity evening went to Boobops, BOP Dragon Boat Club. Money raised from the donated raffle items was earmarked for Breast Cancer Support Services Tauranga Trust.

Because of the success of the show, Te Puke Repertory was able to donate additional funds, bringing the total amount donated to the trust to $1500.

Te Puke Repertory is a charitable organisation and we are delighted to have supported such worthy causes.
