Dave Craft

Crafty's Rods and Guns managing director Dave Craft is sitting this year's duck shooting opening weekend out.
He chats to Mark Story about seasons past and present.

Are you seeing an uptake in enthusiasm shooters this year compared with recent years? Or has the pursuit levelled out?
Yes I think there
is a return of the families shooting together, and more licence sales.

In terms of new gear, what items are hot sellers this year?
So many types of electronic decoys and callers.

Are you a keen duck shooter- or does the busy start of season preclude heading out yourself?
Yes I am a keen duck shooter but don't do opening weekend, I wait until later on.

What's the biggest duck shooting myth?
"There are plenty of ducks around".
