The Farmstrong "Bitches' Box" shows by comedians Amelia Dunbar and Emma Newborn drew 18,000 people across the 12 events, including three in Tairāwhiti, and raised $25,000.
The Farmstrong-hosted “Bitches’ Box” comedy tour attracted more than 1800 people to numerous shows from Northland to the Wairarapa, including Tairāwhiti.
There were three shows held in this district as part of the tour by comedians Amelia Dunbar and Emma Newborn.
Farmstrong, in partnership with the Rural Support Trust, ran
12 Bitches’ Box shows in all during their tour.
Spokesman Gerard Vaughan said the duo made a real name for themselves in rural communities.
“We had people turning up for the fourth time, having enjoyed previous iterations of the show in recent years.
