Whanganui birder and author Paul Gibson is the speaker at Nature Talks this month.
Birds New Zealand regional representative Peter Frost says the talk will cover the revised edition of Gibson's popular Birds New Zealand, Beauty Like No Other illustrated book.
"Paul will be talking about his new book, a wholly revised and expanded version of his previous one, with new species, new photographs and additional sections."
Gibson will also talk about and illustrate the various trips that he undertook to get photographs of new species for the book.
"For those of you who've been to previous talks given by Paul, you'll know that you are in for a visual feast and interesting stories of his exploits," says Frost.
"Paul will have signed copies of his book available for purchase.
"If you've already bought a copy, bring it along anyway - I'm sure he'll be happy to sign it."
