Sam "Lashes" Casey has a bash at fencing with John "Noakesy" Noakes.

The Country's Social Media Guru Sam "Lashes" Casey has been thrown in the deep end at Fieldays this year.

The self-confessed townie decided to try his hand at fencing with none other than John "Noakesy" Noakes, who is a bit of a fencing legend.

Although Lashes boasts that he is a "pretty skilled fencer," its soon becomes apparent that this is not the case.

The young man tries his best at the Goldpine site at Mystery Creek, but struggles with the work, even under the patient and learned guidance of a legend like Noakesy.

"Far out you don't know much do ya? ... I teach people how to do things but ... what's your IQ?"
