The Country's Jamie Mackay caught up with the Two Farmer Js for the first time in 2018 today.

Not surprisingly Rookes is not farming but actually on a fishing holiday enjoying some glorious weather and shaking his fist at "apes that drive those bloody jet skis at 100 miles an hour."

Jason Uden is excited by the news of Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern's pregnancy.

"I can't think of any greater role model for my little daughter than to see a female Prime Minister doing the job well and having a baby while she's at it."

Jeremy was unaware of the PM's impending baby but has a vague idea of what's happening on his own farm with the odd phone call back home in between sips of rosé.
