Milk plant runs out of froth

The King Country Milk treatment plant. famous for producing New Zealand's frothiest milk for cappuccino lovers, is to close.

The directors of the Taumarunui-based dairy co-operative have offered the plant to Fonterra, which yesterday confirmed it was in talks.

Taumarunui claimed to be the frothy milk capital of the world five years ago when its white top milk took off among cappuccino and latte drinkers.
