Onehunga hip-hop group SWIDT have announced their first ever headline tour of New Zealand this October.
With support from Melodownz and illbaz the group will bring their unique blend of homegrown hip-hop to Dunedin, Christchurch, Wellington and Auckland.
The tour follows the recent release of SWIDT's latest EP, The Most Electrifying.
Made up of SmokeyGotBeatz, SPYCC, INF, JAMAL and BoomerThaGod, SWIDT started gaining traction in 2016 and gained a cult following with their street hit 312.
A year later they made their mark in the mainstream with their debut album Stoneyhunga.
The album saw them win Best Hip-Hop Album of the Year and Best Group of the Year at the Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards.
The tour comes just four months before the group join Six60 for their Western Springs concert.
SWIDT will be performing in Dunedin on October 5, Wellington October 6, Auckland October 12 and Christchurch October 13.
Tickets go on sale on August 24 at 12pm from www.ticketmaster.co.nz.
