It's not just online trolls who are inspiring Nazanin Khanjani in her entry into the boxing ring - world heavyweight title contender Joseph Parker is also in her corner.
Known as "Naz" to viewers of series two of The Bachelor NZ - where she proved a polarising presence - the 25-year-old will make her boxing debut on the undercard to Parker's clash with Solomon Haumono in Christchurch on July 21.
And if she proves to be as hard-hitting in the ring as she was in her reality TV debut, her opponent - which the Herald on Sunday can reveal will be either Bella Henry, the daughter of broadcaster Paul Henry, or DJ Lily Taurau from Mai FM - will be in for a tough night.
"I really do look up to Joseph Parker, he's a great fighter," Khanjani told the Herald on Sunday.
"I've got a huge support team. I've got Craig Stanaway from Duco and his team backing me up and showing me a lot of support, as well as Butter Bean and Joseph Parker himself, who have called me recently and given me encouraging words."
Duco will confirm Khanjani's opponent on Tuesday.
The contenders were cut to two on Thursday after Duco had considered numerous applications from would-be women boxers after the bachelorette revealed last weekend she was getting in the ring.
Stanaway said Henry and Taurau were fitness-tested this week. Those results were being considered over the weekend before the opponent was confirmed on Tuesday.
Health and safety and the need to have an even-matched bout were paramount in the promoter's considerations.
Not only has Khanjani got Parker in her corner, one of his trainers was also handling her build-up.
"My training is going really good," she said.
"I've got Brian Barry, who is also Joseph Parker's trainer, training me. He's amazing. We're training a couple of times a week and it's full-on, really full-on. He's great."
Khanjani came out swinging last weekend, calling online trolls who had slated her before and after her appearance on The Bachelor NZ to square off in the boxing ring.
Henry and Taurau were among numerous contenders to put their hand up and offer to take on the feisty Bachelorette.
