Bryan Cranston has created a new show, Sneaky Pete, which he says is Breaking Bad in reverse.
The Emmy-winning actor returned to TV in the pilot of Sneaky Pete this week, nearly two years after hit series Breaking Bad wrapped in September 2013.
Cranston told Entertainment Weekly he was nicknamed Sneaky Pete in high school because he "was always looking for the shortcut".
It spawned the idea for a new TV show and Cranston has teamed up with David Shore, an executive producer on House MD to nut out the plot.
"Sneaky Pete is in loose terms, it's Breaking Bad in reverse," said Cranston.
"It is about a bad guy who discovers reasons to become good."
The show stars Giovanni Ribisi as Marius, a con man who assumes the identity of his cellmate when he's released from prison.
Cranston is an executive producer and actor in the show.
The pilot premiered on Amazon this week, but the show has not been picked up yet.
In a live Q&A session on Periscope on Tuesday, Cranston compared the Marius character to Michael Corleone - The Godfather.
"From a very early age he learnt how to survive," said Cranston. "Just when he tries to get out it sucks him back in."
Cranston thanked fans for getting involved and told them to stay tuned.
