Police have launched a plea for information over two attempted robberies in South Auckland.

Police want to know the whereabouts of Ricky Batalliard who is suspected of attempting to commit two aggravated robberies in South Auckland.

Yesterday he presented a firearm on two police officers while they were conducting enquiries at an address.

Mr Batalliard also has warrants for his arrest relating to previous incidents. He is considered extremely dangerous and likely to be armed.

Police urge anyone who sees Mr Batalliard to not approach him, but contact police immediately instead.

Mr Batalliard is described as being 185cm tall and of a solid build, with distinctive tattoos on his face.

Anyone who has seen Mr Batalliard, or knows where he is, is asked to contact the Counties-Manukau District Command Centre on 09 261 1300 or by calling 111.

Alternatively, information can also be provided anonymously via the organisation Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
