A South Korean man struck by two cars on the North Shore at the weekend has died.
Tourist James Cho, 49, was crossing Sunset Rd on Saturday around midday when he was hit by cars travelling in opposite directions, police said.
He died in North Shore Hospital
Police said Mr Cho was thought to be trying to find shelter from the rain when he was struck.
He was staying with friends on the North Shore while on holiday in New Zealand, and was out for a walk at the time of the accident.
The Waitemata serious crash unit is investigating . Mr Cho's death has been referred to the coroner.
