Priscilla Rainey was a contestant on Game's VH1 reality show, She Got Game, a Bachelor-esque show where 10 women competed to win the rapper's heart.
Rainey alleged that in May last year while filming in a sports bar, Taylor was drunk and on drugs and sexually assaulted her several times over the course of the night. During the trial, The Game was reported to have tried to get Rainey's mental health and alledged background in sex work included as part of the trial.
The Game first rose to prominence with his 2003 album The Documentary. His eighth studio album 1992 was released last month.
This incident is not the first time The Game has gotten into trouble with the law. He was sued for assaulting a fan and charged with disorderly conduct against the police in 2005, and was arrested in 2007 for having threatened someone with a gun at a basketball game.
He was supposed to come to New Zealand for Raggamuffin earlier this year, but went to Australia by mistake.
TMZ says that the rapper is planning to appeal.
