A new trailer for Steven Spielberg's film The BFG has arrived after the film's premiere at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival.
Based on the children's classic by British author Roald Dahl, the film follows the tale of a young orphaned girl and her Big Friendly Giant (BFG) companion.

The second official trailer shows off impressive visual effects and a deeper look into the whimsical world of the giants, home to both good and bad dreams.
Speilberg perfectly captures the fear felt by readers throughout the children's novel, with the film quickly taking dark and suspenseful turns.
Despite the terrifying surroundings the film's protagonist Sophie (Ruby Barnhill) reveals she isn't scared to take on the adventures of the giant world.
"I'm going to call you BFG," Sophie says in the trailer, as she names the lovable giant.
The BFG, which drew warmly respectful reviews in Cannes, is largely faithful to Dahl's 1982 classic and was made in collaboration with the Dahl estate.
The film is due to hit New Zealand cinemas on July 7.
