Gaming fans have lashed out at the decision to release Rise of the Tomb Raider exclusively on Xbox in 2015.
Any fans who enjoyed Tomb Raider on PCs or Playstations will have to move to the Microsoft-owned console to continue the franchise, causing an uproar online.
"So SE sold out to @Microsoft and now Rise of the Tomb Raider is an #xbox exclusive. disappointed," @RanjanaNaidoo said on Twitter.
He wasn't the only fan to voice his anger on the social media site.
According to @FritzTheWitch, "The fact that Rise of the Tomb Raider is a Xbox exclusive is just a big slap in the face to all die hard Tomb Raider fans, tbh."
Meanwhile @jameslocker tweeted: "really pissed I'll be missing out on the chance to play Rise of the Tomb Raider next year, a bad decision for fans of the original & reboot."
Another posted a link to Michael Jackson's video clip They Don't Care About Us.
It is not clear whether its a timed exclusive for Xbox though, so the possibility of an eventual PC/PS4 release hasn't been ruled out completely just yet.
