Lupita Nyong'o's US$150,000 (NZ$200,000) pearl-encrusted Oscar Awards dress has allegedly been stolen from her hotel room.
The 31-year-old actress' custom Calvin Klein gown, which was made up of more than 6000 pearls, was reportedly snatched from The London Hotel in West Hollywood.
According to TMZ.com, the 12 Years A Slave star told police the expensive piece was taken between 8-9pm while she was out.
Law enforcement officers are now believed to be searching through video footage from the hotel to help them catch the thief.
The London Hotel told E! News in a statement: "This is a terribly unfortunate situation, and we are working with law enforcement on their investigation."

Meanwhile, the brunette beauty had all eyes on her when she turned up at the Academy Awards, held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, wearing the dazzling attire.
Francisco Costa, who made the garment by hand, told the New York Daily News at the event last weekend: "[We were working closely with Lupita over the past few months.
"We decided to use natural pearls to create a truly modern, timeless dress that compliments her style and echoes the aesthetic of Calvin Klein Collection."
