Sydney Roosters star Shaun Kenny-Dowall and former Neighbours actress Yasmin Kassim have called time on their relationship, just over two months after going public with their romance.
A source close to 25-year-old Kassim told Daily Mail Australia on Thursday that the pair haven't been spotted together in recent weeks, while the actress' friends were initially 'sceptical of the relationship due to his [Shaun's] past history.
Earlier this year, 28-year-old Kenny-Dowall was found not guilty of 11 domestic violence charges over the alleged abuse of former partner Jessica Peris, the daughter of Olympian and senator Nova Peris.
Last July he was charged with stalking, intimidating, destroying or damaging property, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and six counts of assault, according to NSW Police.
"Her close friends were sceptical of the relationship due to his past history," the source told Daily Mail Australia in regards to Kassim and Kenny Dowall.
"The pair were seen regularly around Bondi looking totally smitten over the last few months but haven't been spotted together lately."
And their social media accounts appear to align with the insider's comments.
The past few days have seen Kassim soaking up the sun in Bali, enjoying a refreshing getaway with her mother Ros, singing sensation Marcia Hines and another close pal.
"She was on a pre-planned vacation to Bali with her mum, friend and Australian singing star Marcia Hines. The vacation had nothing to do with the separation, it was for holiday and songwriting for upcoming projects," the source said.
Kassim, who finished as a runner-up behind Erin Holland in the 2013 Miss World Australia pageant, has shared a series of sizzling beachside snaps on her Instagram account.
In one stunning image, the beauty added a telling caption, reading: "You have to kiss a lot of frogs before you find your prince."
Meanwhile Kenny-Dowall's most recent Instagram images show him spending time with teammates in Sydney.
News of the couple's romance emerged back in June.
The rugby league player made an appearance as a celebrity guest at Nova's Red Room Global Tour at The Star's Marquee nightclub in Sydney.
While it seemed he attended the event alone, the hunky sportsman was shortly spotted "getting very close" to the stunning brunette inside the venue, The Daily Telegraph reported.
The glamorous beauty queen and the New Zealand international had refused to have their photographs taken together on the media wall.
"It is apparently early days so they didn't want to make a fuss," an onlooker told the newspaper.
After the event, the pair were spotted walking arm-in-arm through the casino before dining at the Japanese restaurant Sokyo.
