A new pilot has been found for the Millennium Falcon, as Alden Ehrenreich has been confirmed to play the new Han Solo.
The Hollywood Reporter reports Ehrenreich (Hail, Caesar!) is in final negotiations to fill Harrison Ford's shoes in the upcoming Star Wars film which will centre around a young Han Solo.

Ehrenreich was one of three young actors up for the coveted role, alongside Eddie the Eagle's Taron Egerton, and Transformers: Age of Extinction's Jack Reynor.
Miles Teller, Ansel Elgort and Emory Cohen were also on the shortlist in earlier casting rounds.
Harrison Ford first appeared as the original Han Solo in 1977, he starred in Star Wars: A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi before returning in 2015 for The Force Awakens.
The new Han Solo spin-off is scheduled for release in 2018.
Ehrenreich has just wrapped filming for the Iraq war drama The Yellow Birds and will appear in a so-far untitled Warren Beatty project.
