Newlyweds Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux have reportedly jetted off to Bora Bora after staging a top secret wedding at the home they share in Bel Air.
The couple reportedly fooled friends and the media by inviting guests to a "surprise" birthday party for Theroux, who turns 44 on Monday and then quickly staged a low-key ceremony before about 70 guests, People magazine reported on Thursday, citing unnamed sources.
"Guests were told it was a birthday party for Justin," one source told People. "Jen and Justin wanted to surprise guests and guests were certainly surprised."
A host of famous friends were in attendance for the nuptials, including Jennifer's former Friends co-star Lisa Kudrow, DJ Howard Stern, talk show hosts Ellen DeGeneres and Chelsea Handler, actress Emily Blunt and her husband John Krasinski, photographer Terry Richardson and jewellery designer Jennifer Meyer, Us Weekly reports.
Photos posted by TMZ showed outdoor table settings, a dance floor and a cake topped with two Muppet-style figurines, while a pastor holding what appeared to be a Bible was also seen at the property.
And the 46-year-old actress went to other lengths to keep the party under wraps, including erecting a giant shed to hide the furniture and party supplies before things were set up yesterday afternoon, confiscating staff members' phones over the last week and not allowing parking near the house.
As news broke about the nuptials, Aniston and her new husband were spotted boarding a private jet at Van Nuys Airport in California.
Multiple reports suggest the plane was bound for the private island in French Polynesia. Aniston, 46, and Theroux started dating in 2011, as they were filming the movie Wanderlust. They were engaged a year later.
It is the second marriage for Aniston, who married Hollywood heartthrob Brad Pitt in 2000 - forming one of Tinseltown's most glamorous couples at the time.
They divorced in 2005 after Pitt met his current wife, Angelina Jolie, on the set of Mr & Mrs Smith.
Representatives for Aniston and Theroux did not immediately comment when asked to confirm the report.
