Kiwi fans of R'n'B star Ciara have been left angry after the singer pulled out of a scheduled meet n' greet with fans.
It's the second time the star has bailed on fans, after she was late to a Christchurch concert on Wednesday night, performing just two songs.
The 29-year-old Grammy-winner took to the stage over an hour and a half later then scheduled at ILAM Fields at Canterbury University for a performance that lasted less than ten minutes.
While she was scheduled to begin her show at 9.30pm, Ciara did not appear on stage until 11pm and left soon after, due to the venue's noise curfew.
It is believed the short lived show wasn't helped by the concert being moved to an outdoor venue.
Soon after her quick entry and exit, Ciara blamed "technical difficulties" after thanking the crowd who attended on Twitter.
'I Am So Happy I Got To See My Fans In New Zealand For The First Time! THANK YOU For Rocking With Me, Despite The Technical Difficulties,' she tweeted.
The post was met with overwhelming negative responses from social media users and those who attended the event, accused the songwriter of foul play.
"but u performed for like 8 minutes and didn't even show up to the meet n greet" one user wrote back to Ciara's tweet, while another said "she prob should still redo the show. Not fair to paying fans".
Australian touring agency Ginnen Group representative Matty Peilua wrote on the Facebook event page the next day to apologise to fans.
"The event team wish to apologise for the events which took place last night, although it was outside of our control we are truly sorry.
"Please be assured that we did everything we could from our end to try [to] make the show still go on. We are not going to blame anyone or any one thing, we will simply say that we are as disappointed as everyone else."
He added that meet and greet fans would "receive a full refund" while they would be happy to negotiate with other ticket holders.
