A full page letter handwritten by Auckland pop sensation Lorde has been printed in the New Zealand Herald today.
In it, Lorde says winning two Grammys was a crazy day, and her friends and family were still freaking out.
She thanked New Zealanders for their support and said without it, she never would have got to stand in the middle of the Staples Centre to perform in her school shoes.
Lorde also said she couldn't wait for tonight's show in Auckland - saying together "we'll make it magic".
She landed in Auckland this morning ahead of a performance tonight at Silo Park on the waterfront.
Laneway co-promoter Mark Kneebone said it would be a special performance for her Kiwi fans.
"Look at the last 12 months, it's a pretty amazing achievement and the Grammys are a recognition of that, it's going to be a magic night."
The gig will be all-ages, with 500 discounted tickets offered for under-18 fans.
