Jamie Mackay has a chat to MPI's Head of Biosecurity Roger Smith at Fieldays.

Content provided by MPI

Jamie Mackay caught up with MPI's Head of Biosecurity Roger Smith at Fieldays for an update on the Mycoplasma bovis situation.

The Government's decision to eradicate the cattle disease is moving forward and Smith says that MPI have "got this," but it's not just up to the Ministry for Primary Industries to fight M. bovis.

"It's not has MPI got this. Have we got this, has industry got this, because this is a partnership approach. MPI's the sort of co-ordinator and the science ... but in the end this will only work if farmers and industry, processors and everybody on farm understands what they need to do and gets involved."
