Welsh farmers are up in arms over Prince Charles' organic food company selling New Zealand lamb ahead of Welsh.

The Duchy Organic range sells food to Waitrose stores.

But lamb chops, cutlets and legs aren't being sourced in the UK at the moment.

Waitrose says it's for seasonal reasons ... and during the British season it only sells UK farmed lamb, most of it from Wales and West Country.

It says it's simply not possible to supply more than 300 outlets with organic, out of season lamb.

However Welsh sheep farmers are outraged ... saying New Zealand lamb is inferior to Welsh lamb - over fat and over priced.

They're telling customers to check labels to ensure they don't buy lamb from 20-thousand kilometres away.
