Members of our national butchery team are sharpening their knives to take home the gold at the World Butchers' Challenge.

The Pure South Sharp Blacks has just been named, with four of the six members new to the competition.

Team Captain Corey Winder says other than the preparation they'll do in the workplace, the team will meet several times before the competition.

He says they're currently the reigning champions so they have a reputation to keep.
