Fancy a spot of cricket? Imagine having backyard cricket sessions that are 11-a-side.

Cricket rooms and full pitch are up for sale in Marlborough's Waihopai Valley area.

In an unusual sale, Bayleys has advertised a 57ha block of land 10km west of Renwick township and describe as "additional features" a substantial 301sq m cricket pavilion built in about 2008 with commercial kitchen, team changing and shower facilities and all overlooking an oval and adjoining wetlands.

The property comes with much more than just cricket potential. The 57.19 hectares title features wetland areas and livestock grazing areas. Photo / Trade Me

"This pavilion facility could be suitable for numerous activities and events," says the ad.
Property records show the property at 1081 State Highway 63 is owned by Winegrowers of Ara. Companies Office records show that business is owned by one of the country's wealthiest businesses - The Todd Corporation.

"The 57.19 hectares title features wetland areas, established specimen trees/large garden plus livestock grazing areas, including a Marlborough District Council proposed subdivision of 20 hectares (more or less), with a proposed B Class Wairau River water right providing potential to establish a productive economic vineyard if required," the ad reads.

The tender for the mixed use property closes on March 18.
