There was a Global Dairy Trade Event last night but right now Federated Farmers Dairy Spokesperson Andrew Hoggard is more concerned with the weather.
The fallout from Cyclone Debbie is still very much an issue for the North Island and although the rain has stopped in Hoggard's patch (north of
Feilding), he still has his eye on the sky after the "carnage" of the 2004 and 2015 flooding.
Hoggard also has a message for those who may be annoyed at the warnings that came to nothing - "it's better to be safe than sorry".
Andrew also discusses the Global Dairy Trade Event with The Country's Dom George and is pleased with what he calls a "positive result".
