Top-quality offerings were again a feature of the fair.

Top-quality offerings were again a feature of the fair.

An easing price trend continued at yesterday's heifer and bull fair.

A full rostrum of buyers was ready for the 1200 or so head on offer but prices were back on last year, similar to Tuesday's weaner steer fair.

The top quality of the offering was again a feature of the fair.

Top price for the bulls was $900 paid for a pen of 302kg Hereford-cross bulls from Braylin Farming, Porangahau.

The top heifer price of $970 or $3.25/kg was paid for a pen of 298kg capital stock south devons from Pouhokio Station, Waimarama.
