Happy Birthday MC Hammer! Today's interviews are with: Bill English, Dr Tim Mackle, James Shaw, Chris Russell, Craig Wiggins, Joe Wheeler, Liam Squire and Tom Ruddenklau.

It's the whole show in one go! Today The Country is brought to you by Stanley Kirk Burrell. Who? None other than MC Hammer. It's his birthday today so Dom and Jamie are playing you lucky listeners some sweet '90s classics.

On with the show: Bill English: The PM ponders the chilled meat into China and the whether we should take sides in the geo-political play in the Asia Pacific region between China and the USA.

Dr Tim Mackle: The chief executive of Dairy NZ looks at some of the good news stories coming from our biggest export earner and agrees the industry needs to have address the question of capping cow numbers.

James Shaw: The Green Party co-leader offers some suggestions as to how we can reduce GHG emissions and we agree to disagree on the decline in sheep numbers since the 1980s.

Chris Russell: Our Australian correspondent says the fallout from Cyclone Debbie will felt further afield than Queensland plus we yarn about salt water crocs and milking camels.

Craig Wiggins: After yesterday's rather muddy start, we head to Kirwee for day two of the South Island Field Days, for weather and track conditions.

Joe Wheeler and Liam Squire: Courtesy of Farmlands, fans of farming and footy, we take our weekly look at Super Rugby with a couple of hard-case Highlanders.

Tom Ruddenklau: We track down the GM of Volkswagen NZ, our vehicle partners on The Country, in Frankfurt Germany to look at what innovation we can look forward to in the automotive industry over the next two years.
