Smaller lambs were on demand at Stortford Lodge.

Smaller lambs were on demand at Stortford Lodge.

The prospect of early grass growth saw lamb finishers paying for longer-term lambs at yesterday's Stortford Lodge store sale.

Better lambs held their value but the rise in the demand for smaller lambs was noticeable.
A small cattle yarding of about 130 head sold to expectations.

Buyers were from Hawke's Bay with support from Taupo, Gisborne and Masterton.
