Ewes sold well at Stortford Lodge.

Ewes sold well at Stortford Lodge.

A small offering of about 350 ewes sold on a strong market at Monday's prime sale.
The best of them made $169 while lighter ones made up to $107.

A feature of the cattle sale of six head was an ox weighing 965kg. The crossbred animal made $2451 or $2.54./kg.

The yarding of about 380 lambs contained many store-quality head which sold well. The best of the prime lambs made up $184.50.

Oxen: (Charo-cross) 965kg, 254c/kg, $2451/head.
Heifers: (Simm-cross), av weight, 790kg 242c/kg, $1911/head.
Cows: (Here-fries), Av weight 636kg, 173c/kg, $1101/head.

SHEEP

Ewes: Slipe, heavy, $169, good, $130 to $150; med, $115; lighter, $98 to $107; heavy wethers, $194.

Shorn, heavy, $163; med, $137.

Lambs: Male, $88 to $166.50; ewe, $138.50, $141.50. M/s, $106.50 to $84.50.
