The latest from the Stortford Lodge Sale.

The latest from the Stortford Lodge Sale.

Store cattle continued to sell on a strong market at Stortford Lodge yesterday.

A big yarding of more than 1200 mostly good-quality head was in good demand from a full rostrum of buyers.

Angus cattle of all ages sold particularly well as did two-year-old friesian bulls.
In the sheep pens a
small yarding of store lambs, comprised mostly of Chatham Island lambs, also sold well.

However, ewes with lambs at foot eased in line with their quality. In contrast, one pen of docked, well-grown, terminal lambs made $106.50 all counted.

Buyers from the cattle and 2500 sheep were from Hawke's Bay, Rangitikei, Wairarapa, Manawatu, Waikato and Gisborne.
