Lambs sold well at Stortford Lodge

Lambs sold well at Stortford Lodge

Good store lambs made particularly good money at yesterday's Stortford Lodge store sale.

A feature of the yarding of about 3000 head was the 765 head offered by Fonterra Waratah. The lambs had come from a Fonterra farm near Putaruru. Fonterra run sheep on some of their run-off blocks for weed and grass control.

The lambs sold well in a strong market.

In the cattle rostrum the offering of about 270 head of mostly good quality R2 heifers also sold well on a solid market.

Buyers were from Hawke's Bay, Sanson and Masterton.
