Store lambs were in demand at the Stortford Lodge livestock sale.

Short-term store lambs made good money at yesterday's Stortford Lodge sale.

A feature of the yarding was the number and quality of lambs from the Chatham Islands. The best of the more than 1100 on offer topped the sale at $154.

The rest of the offering of about 3000 head also sold well to buyers from Hawke's Bay with one from Tolaga Bay.

The best of the in-lamb ewes made $195.50. These were a pen of mixed-age ewes scanned in-lamb with triplets.

Two pens of in-lamb five-year-olds made $180 and $178.50.
