A vet is attending to cattle on the Desert Rd after a stock truck rolled just north of Waiouru.
Emergency services were called to the scene at 1.10pm on Sunday and State Highway 1 between Waiouru to Rangipo has been closed with diversions in place.
Police say the truck driveris uninjured but there are cattle on the road and a vet is in attendance.
The crash happened near the intersection of Paradise Valley Road.
NZ Transport Agency has asked motorists to avoid the area and delay travel if possible.
