The short week and threat of very wet weather resulted in a very small sale at Rongotea this week reported Darryl Harwood of NZ Farmers Livestock.

2 year Friesian — Hereford cross steers 532 kg made $1390 and beef cross steers 342 kg made $560.

2 year Friesian bulls 440 kg made $990.

2 year Angus cross heifers 565 kg made $1270 and cross bred heifers 340 kg made $750.
Weaner Friesian — Hereford cross steers 140 kg made $410.

Weaner brindle heifers 190 kg made $455.

Cross bred boner cows 412 kg — 579 kg made $1.59/kg — $1.81/kg, cross bred boners 422 kg — 522 kg made $1.56/kg — 1.70/kg and Jersey boners 487 kg made $1.70/kg.

In the calf pens, Friesian bull calves made $140, Friesian — Hereford bull calves made $95 — $225 and Friesian — Hereford heifer calves made $125 — $220.
