Demand and prices were strong for all classes of stock at yesterday's Stortford Lodge store sale.

Store lambs were about $10 up on last week and good in-lamb ewes also made good money.

The first of the ewes with lambs at foot appeared and made $80.50.

Demand for a yarding of about 250 store cattle was also good with R2 steers particularly strong.

Agents were surprised by the rise and put it down to the promise of rain and the influence of outside buyers.
